I first started writing this song in 2006, inspired by a person close to me who had made some very bad decisions in their life, after growing up around people who were making very bad decisions in their lives. Now in 2011, I have seen many more start down the same path, feeling hopeless amidst circumstances they think they are powerless to change. I believe that the cycle doesnt have to repeat itself. Although you cant stop the rain from fallin down, you have the opportunity to make choices that put you in a position to succeed, to “Get it Right”. The first step is to let go of the thought that you have to do it on your own. There is One Person you can call on who will never let you down (Romans 10:13).
